This time round, there are three new formidable enemies in the picture: The Sandman, Venom and Spidey’s long-time pal/nemesis, the New Goblin -- not forgetting an additional one as a black formless mass (symbiote) that parasites on human beings and creates an enemy within oneself.On the romantic side of the story, Peter's girlfriend, Mary-Jane is embarking on a new career as a singer, unfortunately Peter's heroic duties have taken him away from giving her the moral support that she needs when she's at her most sensitive and vulnerable state. Peter's lovelife, his friendship, his responsibilities to the public, his discovery of his uncle's real killer and other facets of his life lead him to face himself in an inner fight.There are many interesting characters apart from the main leads that add to the entire plot: the new freelance photographer for the Daily Bugle (Topher Grace), the funny chief editor of the Daily Bugle (JK Simmons), the controversial female lab-partner of Peter (Bryce Dallas Howard) and the hilarious maitre’d of the French restaurant (Bruce Campbell).Reportedly the third most expensive film ever made with a budget of US$250 million, special effects are awesome throughout the entire movie and the action-sequences come hard and fast with massive buildings being smashed and trains, cars, cranes getting crushed. It's a blockbuster not to be missed and a must-watch especially in the theatre with a huge screen and great sound.
